🤸♂️ Improve and Flip Your Website Faster
As a website flipper, we know you're constantly on the lookout for lower-priced sites that offer a few quick wins.
There's a ton of advice available on what you should consider when buying a website to improve and flip. Although you might be focussed on traffic and revenues, one of the commonly overlooked areas is a content evaluation.
We like Kevin Meng's take on this. His article on Empire Flippers looks at 5 niche site content mistakes and how to fix them for quick wins.
Kevin says that poor quality content is the "lowest hanging fruit."
Sites with bad content—and there are tons of them—hold major opportunities for growth. Even relatively minor changes can result in major spikes in conversions, upping your eventual exit price by a nice margin.
The top content mistake he identifies is ‘bad intros’ on affiliate site articles. Most intros waste a reader’s time by telling them things they already know or don’t need to know in the first place.
Kevin offers advice on the correct tone of voice for your content as well as how to eliminate the fluff in order to provide great value to your audience.
The article is packed full of great examples which demonstrate that even the most popular websites online sometimes get it wrong.
Check out all his tips here.
💲 $80,000 per Month in Less Than 2 Years
Adam Enfroy has 500,000 monthly readers.
In May of this year he was making over $80,000 a month from his blog.
A few days ago, Adam shared his strategies for creating profitable content sites, which he says are one of his favorite types of online businesses to buy and sell.
Surprisingly, he states that most blogging advice is outdated, is written to rank on search engines, and doesn't provide the right tactics. With those revelations, we were keen to find out what techniques he's used to grow a successful blog in under 2 years.
Adam's primary strategy revolves around developing systems to scale a blog like a startup, not like a writer.
Here are a few highlights from his article:
Choose a blog niche based on monetization potential over anything else
Leverage your professional experience to benefit your blog. Your professional network could be vital for building Domain Authority (DA)
Scale blog traffic quickly with a content strategy
Scale and outsource your processes to boost your blog’s traffic and revenue
Build relationships with other bloggers and influencers in your niche to earn backlinks
Monetize a blog from the beginning. Adam shows a simplified version of his own four step formula to generate revenue.
There is so much value packed into this post that we recommend you head over and read all the details.
Adam Enfroy proves that it's possible to start with zero and build a thriving, million-dollar business in a very short time.

📯 The #1 Metric for Display Ads
If you're a regular listener to our podcast, you may remember that we interviewed Morten Storgaard last month.
Morten has a wealth of experience building websites like GoDownsize and AnimalHow. He has also created several successful YouTube channels, one of which is Passive Income Geek.
On our last visit, we counted over 80 videos on his channel, covering subjects like SEO, niche and topic research, and working with advertising networks.
Here's one of his latest that will benefit newbies and veterans alike. It explains display ad terms like RPM, EMPV and RPS, and reveals Morten's number one metric for tracking ad performance.
➕ Justify Your Domain Price
Some domain name buyers will perform research on the value of your offer before making a purchase. There's nothing wrong with that, but you may be asked to justify why you're selling a domain for $5,000 when you recently paid $500 for it.
Elliot Silver has the perfect response to this. He explains that his experience in the domain world accounts for his ability to find the domain, recognize its value, and then purchase it at the wholesale price.
If you're actively emailing prospective buyers, you might want to take note of how Elliot replies to those who say:
...but you only paid X for it.
You'll find the wording of his response in this short article on the Domain Investing website.
🍿 Investing Snacks 🍿
↣ ↣ LinkedIn might owe you money
If you advertise on LinkedIn, your last 2 years of billing may have been over inflated. LinkedIn identified two metrics glitches that led them to miscalculate videos and impressions.
On the bright side, they will provide refunds and offer more transparency in the future.
↣ ↣ Newsletters
Remember Duuce?
They're a new-ish marketplace for buying and selling newsletters. We discussed Duuce in an earlier newsletter so we thought we'd check in to see how they're doing.
At present there are 13 letters for sale. Among them is "Weekly.gg."
The letter is described as: The most fun way to learn what's going on in gaming & esports. A weekly email focused on the progression of gaming and its impact on culture.
Currently, there are 1,800 subscribers, a website with solid testimonials, and a price tag of $5,000. We're unsure whether that number includes the website...
↣ ↣ An Undervalued Domain?
While traveling the web in search of hidden knowledge for you, we sometimes stumble across assets that seem undervalued.
If you're into running, sprinting, jogging or just fast walking home in the cold weather, then betterrunners.com may be the perfect domain for your next site. We think it's undervalued at $300 here.
↣ ↣ .News
Sometimes we miss the obvious.
Last year Google opened up registration to its ‘.new’ top-level domains to third-parties, and they also created a bunch of their own. These shortcuts allow you to quickly jump into several Google services just by typing things like docs.new, sheets.new, slides.new, etc., into your browser.
Try it right now.
Oh, and here's a list of all their shortcuts.

Who doesn’t enjoy a good case study? This story is from a rookie in the website investing space. Read the article at onfolio to see how Mo Mulla flipped a website from $2700 to $24000 in under 12 months.
